Harvey graduated from Natal University in 1976. Over the last thirty years, he has gained experience in process engineering, technical and project management, as well as a director of operations. He joined DalinYebo at the end of 2003 and is the Chief Operating Officer of International Furan Technology (Pty) Ltd . His specialities are process engineering, development of food and fine chemical plants and project management of partnered and turnkey projects. He has been involved in the design, engineering, construction and project management, and commissioning of acetaldehyde, acetic acid, formaldehyde, pentaerythritol, ethanol, phthalic anhydride, maleic anhydride, fumaric acid, vinegar, plasticiser, resin, and furfural plants, as well as sugar mills and refineries.
